May 31, 2025: Brunch in the park on a sunny, breezy Saturday morning was the perfect conclusion to the 2024-2025 season of the Blossoms Mother-Daughter Reading Club. We had a great time celebrating our Blossoms (young ladies), who are approaching senior year of high school or first year of college. They led reflective conversations about themes of legacy in Taiyon Coleman’s book, Traveling without Moving, while highlighting connections to milestones and new beginnings in their lives. We thank the Mississippi Humanities Council, Broad Street Baking Company & Cafe, and Mangia Bean Catering for supporting this event.
